With two other partners every one built a hundreds chart this morning, which proved to be very difficult. Playing, 'On A Roll to 100' little learners were tasked to work together to place the numbers one to one hundred in the correct position to create a life size hundreds chart. They rolled dice and placed numbers together.
We read, 'Oscar Lives Next Door' which is the true story of Oscar Peterson the Canadian jazz musician and then talked about how to chat with a partner about a story. Ideas that will be useful when we are reading with a partner. While we chatted we listened to some of Mr. Peterson's music. We decided we liked his style!
We began a discussion about First Nations people and how they see themselves connecting to everything. We each began drawing ourselves and how we are all connected to our families, homes, communities and our land.
