Did you know it is International Question Day?
To ensure understanding we read wordless picture books with a partner, some stickie notes and our thinking paddles. As students read with their partner they wrote down questions as they went along. I am looking for the deep thinking questions - questions that go beyond the text, questions that we have to look elsewhere for the answer. Questions that matter.
In a backpack near you are some assessment papers of your students basic facts check-up and problem solving. Make sure they share them with you and that 'how do you think you are doing?' conversation is held.
