We used the rocks we found on Nose Hill Friday for writing today. We completed the last part of our work, Everybody Needs a Rock. Tomorrow we will conduct experiments on our rocks to determine their properties.
Good readers ask questions before, during and after reading. After brainstorming question words (who, what where, when, should, could) we wrote questions we would like to ask Captain Harry Colebourn about the baby bear he rescued and named Winnie. During social studies we used the same question words to ask questions about India - we are lucky enough to have a student in our classroom who lived in India and she did her best to answer our inquiring questions!
