What you will see represents about 2 hours of classroom time. Please have your student complete the task of retelling the story in pictures, numbers and words. The book is available online for those who 'can't remember' the story.
Each box will tell a story about how many children are in the kitchen and how many of the 12 cookies they will get. In box 6 grandma will come with more cookies to share among the children - now there are 30 cookies and 12 children. How many cookies will they each get? In the last two boxes they are telling their own story. Number of children and number of cookies is up to them.
